Spyware and Adware Programs

Imagine this… you are walking alongside a busy street, and you are minding your own business. Then you decide to stop by a men’s clothing store. You look through the window display, and then point at a new pair of shoes. After a few moments of checking out the items at the window display you continue on home.

As you enter and go inside your house, you noticed a flyer on your porch that wasn’t there when you left. On this specific flyer is the same exact pair of shoes that you just saw in the men’s store. How did this happen? This is a coincidence, isn’t it? If this scenario occurred while on the internet, then more then likely this was not a coincidence. Your computer system has been monitored and your “movement” on the Web has been carefully recorded. This means that your operating system has some sort of spyware in it.

Spyware are these computer programs that usually attach themselves in any things you download while online. The purpose is of these programs are to track you wherever you go online. Spywares are slightly different from adwares. Adwares are also known as freeware and they are basically those annoying ads that pop-up when you open any website or web page or open any programs.
